Dungannon Comedy Festival 2023

Dungannon Comedy Festival 2023

There is going to be a lot to laugh at in Dungannon this July with the launch today of the town’s first Comedy Festival at the Hill of the O’Neill on Saturday 1st July.

The seated event will include the cream of Northern Ireland’s burgeoning comedy circuit headlined by Paddy McDonnell and Micky Bartlett alongside other up-and-coming stand-ups.

Paddy McDonnell is a local comedy hero and regularly sells out shows across the UK & Ireland.  The Belfast funny man makes his Dungannon debut this July. During lockdown, he became a big online hit with his life stories.

Micky Bartlett is one of the funniest and most entertaining comedians with razor-sharp humour and anecdotes of everyday life. He has appeared on numerous TV shows; Monumental, The Blame Game and Dave’s One Night Stand.

Also on the bill is local funny man Talal ‘Shaggy’ Jomar along with

Ciaran Franco, Jordan Robinson, Sean McAleavey and Bronagh Diamond.

The Dungannon Comedy Festival is an opportunity to gather the component parts of the local comedy circuit together and remind everyone that despite all the struggles with life, comedy is one of our best cultural triumphs.
